New Pre-Applications Forms 2013-2015

if no sponsor yet: then pre-apply for 2014-2015

All applicants from 2011-2013 and/or 2012-2014 and who were academically accepted,
have been personally notified!.
In case you did not receive any notification , this means you were not academically accepted.

The ones who already received a former official academic admission letter, need to fill in a specific form to confirm they want to apply again for the VLIR fellowship award 2013; they also need to contact the student administration of UGent to request a deferred admission letter 2013-2014.

Since 2007-2008, Ghent University is offering a 2-year Master of Science program in Nutrition and Rural Development. The program is based on three main subjects.

The main subject Human Nutrition is an extended program based on the former one-year Master Program, ICP Food Science and Nutrition. The theme of the main subject remains the same: ‘The multidisciplinary approach of the nutrition problems in the development’. This main subject is composed of 2 majors: Public Health Nutrition and Nutrition Security and Management.
The main subject "Rural economics and management" is based on the former master program in Agricultural Development.
The main subject Tropcial agriculture, with 2 majors: plant production and animal production, is a new subprogram.

The program provides an outline of all theoretical information and practical experiences, directly and indirectly related to a better understanding of nutrition problems in the developing countries, their origin and solutions. The program includes lectures, research projects, Masters’ dissertation, case studies, discussions, seminars, demonstrations, lab work, exercises and visits.
